PDW were initially approached in 2009 by Monmouthshire Housing Association to carry out an Option Appraisal. Commissioned in three phases, we were tasked with facilitating an urgent review of MHA’s priority schemes (Phase 1), a review of the remaining Category 2 sheltered stock (Phase 2), and a further appraisal for all of MHA’s older persons designated properties (Phase 3).

Our recommendations for MHA were clear, objective and realistic, involving a range of development, management, tenure and marketing solutions across a wide geographical area. This work is very similar to many other Option Appraisal projects PDW have carried out for a number of Registered Social Landlords across the UK and has provided MHA with an overview of their current position regarding their own existing stock.
