Project Manager

We provide development consultancy services to a wide range of housing clients across the UK including housing associations, developers and local authorities.

POST DETAILS
Job Title: Project Manager
Salary Dependent upon skills and experience
Location of Work: Office based in Warrington, flexibility essential to attend client locations within the UK as required
Summary: To assist with the delivery of development consultancy services provided by PDW, and perform other duties as agreed


KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To proactively manage the delivery of housing projects across all tenures for our clients on time and in line with client expectations
  • To work with development colleagues to ensure appropriate procedures are being followed in line with PDW client expectations
  • To manage risk and budget proactively on all development consultancy projects
  • To manage internal and/or external consultants and contractors as required
  • To lead and/or assist in the delivery of PDW services as required
  • To proactively build upon and maintain client relationships
  • To identify and secure new business opportunities on behalf PDW

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • High Levels of Client satisfaction
  • Projects managed within agreed budgets and timescales
  • Compliance with audit requirements
  • Contribute to and promote PDW’s reputation
  • Contribution to the growth of PDW as a development consultancy business

YOUR BACKGROUND:

  • Ability in and experience of housing development project management to time and budget
  • Experience of housing association development activity across a range of tenures
  • Experience of client management is not essential, however the ability to understand that the client is key to business success and managed accordingly is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in financial appraisals for development projects
  • Good understanding of, and experience in, risk management
  • Knowledge of housing development issues for housing associations, developers and local authorities.

    Job Title: Head of Development
    Salary Dependent upon skills and experience
    Location of Work: Office based in Warrington, flexibility essential to attend client locations within the UK as required
    Summary: To lead on the quality control and delivery of project management consultancy services provided by PDW, managing the project management team and associates and performing other duties as agreed


    KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    QUALITY CONTROL AND TEAM LEADERSHIP:

    • To lead, manage and develop the team of project development staff within PDW Ltd ensuring a high level of work is produced at all times to ensure client satisfaction in line with PDW agreements
    • To regularly and effectively monitor the quality of work produced by the project development team to ensure high levels of quality are maintained
    • To put in place quality control measures and processes to consistently monitor the quality of output within the project delivery team
    • To work closely with the Business Manager to assemble a training programme for development staff, based on the PDW DPM
    • To work closely with the MD and Business Manager to ensure excellence in our project delivery service
    • To act as a senior representative of the business as required
    • To help identify new business opportunities for PDW Ltd in conjunction with the Business Manager

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT DELIVERY:

    Whilst the role is primarily focused upon management of the project delivery team and quality control within PDW Ltd, there will be a requirement to manage the delivery of housing projects as required for our client organisations. Such project management will entail:

    • To deliver senior consultancy services to client organisations, as required
    • To lead on the delivery of development agency and project management services to client organisations

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

    • High levels of client satisfaction
    • Projects completed on time and within budget where appropriate
    • Effective controls and measures in place to monitor quality of output within the business
    • Training and development plans in place for staff where required
    • Compliance with audit requirements
    • Contribute to and promote PDW’s reputation
    • Contribution to the growth of PDW as a development consultancy business

    YOUR BACKGROUND:

    • Proven experience of effective team management
    • A keen eye for detail
    • A proven track record of managing housing developments to an exceptional high standard and quality
    • A proactive approach to work
    • An understanding that the client is key to business success and managed accordingly
    • Ability in and experience of project management/housing development projects to time and budget
    • Experience of housing association development activity across a range of tenures
    • Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external parties
    • Proficiency in financial appraisals for development projects.
    • A good understanding of, and experience in, risk management
    • Knowledge of housing development issues for housing associations, developers and local authorities.
